‘Why why why did u hack this my twit acc. How will it benefit!’, these are the words of Innocent ‘2face’ Idibia as he questioned hackers who had compromised his official Twitter account @2faceididbia.The pop star lamented through a new Twitter account he immediately signed up @real2faceidibia. ‘What do people actually gain from hacking pples accts?’, he asked.
This follows the recent ‘Twitter attacks’ on celebrities by hackers who say over 30 celebs accounts (Twitter and Facebook) have been hacked and that they will ‘expose’ them all.
Highlife singer Flavour’s Twitter account was the first to be hacked. That account was immediately suspended after a report to Twitter. Others on the ‘hack list’ include D’Banj, Wizkid, Banky W and Don Jazzy.
It”s uncertain who’s behind the hacking, or what the motive is; but those close to the celebs unanimously say the hackers are only wasting their time. ‘They’ll not find anything damaging on anyone, if they like let them hack till next year’.
It is believed that a support team at Twitter is currently investigating complaints.
