During the conversation, the hip-hop superstar discussed his newfound love for skateboarding and revealed that it has taken priority over music, which he may take a break from. “I picked up the skateboard and I thought it’d be a hobby and what happened is: it’s a lifestyle,” Weezy explained. “In order to be fully committed, you have to live that lifestyle. With these young kids now, you have to be about that life. It’s kind of putting rap on the back burner. Rap’s taken a backseat to skating.
“I kinda feel like I deserve that,” he continued. “I feel like the fans deserve a lil’ no Wayne. I’ve been everywhere. I’ve been out on everybody’s song, I’m still on everybody’s song, my artists are doing awesome. I believe the fans deserve some peace from me. I be on my skateboard in the meantime.”
Also, Weezy revealed a few tracks fans should expect from the upcoming tape, before he goes on a rap hiatus. The fourth installment of Dedication will feature freestyles over Ca$h Out’s “Cashin’ Out,” Chief Keef’s “I Don’t Like,” and Meek Mill and Big Sean’s “Burn.”

Toni Braxton Sued Over $57,000 TV Poster

Toni Braxton is responsible for over $57,000 in STOLEN ADVERTISING for her TV show "Braxton Family Values" -- so says a new lawsuit ... and now, the singer's being sued BIG TIME.

A company called National Promotions & Advertising filed the lawsuit in L.A. County Superior Court, claiming it entered into an agreement  last year with the producers of Braxton's WEtv reality show -- including Braxton herself -- to promote the show's 2nd Season.

According to the lawsuit, NPA agreed to post 4,300 "BFV" posters around the country in exchange for a fat paycheck -- $57,322.29.

NPA claims it completed its end of the bargain in November -- days before the premiere of the show's second season -- but Braxton and her producing partners didn't pony up.

NPA says it's been trying to get paid ever since ... in vain ... and now, it's suing for its money ... plus damages.

A rep for Toni tells us the singer is not involved in marketing budgets or payables for the series, and says such decisions are handled by WEtv.

Boxer Yuriorkis Gamboa Signed By 50 Cent To The Money Team

50 Cent signs boxer Yuriorkis Gamboa to his Money Team and releases a video of his highlights to go with his own "New Day" single.

New York's 50 Cent has done a lot in his career. He's sold many things, from mixtapes to movies and from video games to vitamin water. Recently, 50 added another title to his resume as he became a licensed boxing promoter. His company, The Money Team (TMT), has now signed an accomplished boxer.
TMT is now the home to Cuban boxer Yuriorkis Gamboa, a gold medal winner in 2004 and a past featherweight champion, according to Xclusiveszone and other sources.
The signing comes a few days after the release of 50's "New Day," a song that features Dr. Dre and Alicia Keys. Merging both world, 50 followed his announcement of the new signing by releasing a video of Gamboa's highlights paired with his latest single

Chris Brown Denies Criticizing Frank Ocean's Sexuality

Chris Brown turns to his Twitter account to deny accusations that he critiqued fellow singer Frank Ocean's sexuality.

After finding himself in the midst of yet another mild controversy, this time involving Odd Future crooner Frank Ocean, singer Chris Brown took to his Twitter account today (July 30) to voice his opinion on the matter.
The singer, who received harsh criticism after allegedly replying “no homo” when asked about Frank Ocean in an interview, went on to state that people were “searching for BS” when it comes to his alleged comment about Ocean.
"My Opinion on the whole Frank Ocean subject is ......... Love who u wanna love. It's ur decision. People stop searching for BS," Brown Tweeted.
Brown’s Twitter commentary then quickly switched to matters of world peace and “social acceptance.”
"Everyone is so quick to point the wrong fingers at each other! Ask urself... Am I Doing everything I can to help the world…The world is so bent on social acceptance that we've forgotten what makes us special..." he added. "Our individuality! #Imdone #readabookbitch."
Just last year Brown and Ocean exchanged words on Twitter after Brown compared the Odd Future singer to James Fauntleroy and Kevin Cossum. Both singers did eventually put their brief Twitter spat behind them.

R.kelly Still Appreciate Jay-Z Despite Feud

R. Kelly says he still appreciates Jay-Z, even though the two had a falling out.

In 2004, Jay-Z and R. Kelly's tour in support of The Best of Both Worlds and Unfinished Business infamously fell apart. In October 2004, R. Kelly stopped in the middle of a performance in New York's Madison Square Garden, leaving the stage and later claiming that men were waving guns at him. R. Kelly later filed a $75 million lawsuit against Hov for removing him from the tour.
Despite all the drama, R. Kelly says that he still listens to Jay's music. "Absolutely; huge fan," said Kelly in an interview with MTV News.
"I love a good marriage — I love love. Anything that works for me, anything that feels good to my soul, that feels like this is what I should do, I'm gonna do it," continued Kelly. "I don't care what it is, who it's with. As long as it's positive and it works for both parties, I'm with it."
Kelly added that he enjoyed Watch The Throne, the collaborative project between Jay-Z and Kanye West, and that he "still listen[s] to Jay's stuff."

Drake, Rihanna Lead 2012 MTV Video Music Awards Nominations

The nominees for this year’s MTV Video Music Awards have been announced.
Drake and Rihanna lead the pack with five nominations apiece, including Video of the Year (“We Found Love,” “Take Care”), Best Cinematography (“Take Care”) and more.
A$AP Rocky scores a nod for “Goldie” in the Best Editing category, which also includes Jay-Z and Kanye West’s “Paris” and Beyonce’s “Countdown.”
The 2012 MTV VMAs are scheduled to take place on September 6^th at 8 p.m., broadcasting live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

Meek Mill In Court For Probation Status Hearing

Meek Mill went to court today for a status hearing for his prior drug and gun charges.

Much has been made of Meek Mill's former street life throughout the tenure of his career. Now, it looks like the rising rap star had to make an appearance in court today on account of prior felony charges.
According to a recent report for Fox 29, the Maybach Music Group star took to a Philadelphia court house today for a status hearing from previous charges. The trial stems from his 2008 gun and drugs charges, for which he served an 11 month sentence in prison.
Meek's attorney Lou Savino told Fox 29 that the rapper's appearance in court today was a routine hearing as a part of his probation. However, the judge did warn the Philly emcee not to mention the D.A. handling his case in any of his lyrics, as he had previously done in the song "The Ride."

Pregnant Nollywood Actress, Chika Ike Maltreated By Husband

Going by the latest gist coming from the camp of UN Ambassador and Nollywood actress, Chika Ike, the beautiful screen goddess is believed to be heavily pregnant. Sources claimed that she now carries a protruding stomach around. According to further information disclosed to Nigeriafilms.com, Chika is not lucky this time with her choice of husband as she gets maltreated by her man. The reason for her being maltreated was not revealed to us.

Susan Ekwe is the 25 year old daughter of veteran Nollywood actor, Ignis Ekwe. She’s a graduate of Lagos State University and here’s what she said when asked if she could act naked.

Yinka Ayefele Undergoes Successful Surgery

One of the topmost highlife gospel artiste, Yinka Ayefele has just undergone a surgery. There was a growth at the bottom lid of his left eye which the singer was not comfortable with, and had to go through a surgery to get rid of it.

The surgery was said to have been successful, but sources say he is still at the hospital where he is recuperating. Those in the know have said this is one of the major reasons he has been missing from social functions.

Is Kanye West & Kim Kardashian Getting Married? Jeweler Designs Engagement Ring

According to Radar Online, ‘Ye has asked a private jeweler to design an engagement ring for girlfriend Kim Kardashian by using diamonds and rubies from his late mom Donda’s personal jewelry collection. “Kanye picked out some of Donda’s most expensive pieces, including some diamond earrings and a ruby ring,” a source close to the rapper said.
“Donda was such an important person in Kanye’s life, he thought the world of her and was devastated when she died. So, he kept all her jewelry as keepsakes – a lot of the pieces were items he bought over the years after he made it as a hip-hop star,” the source continued.
“And now, Kanye has found a woman he respects and loves just as much as his mom, so he wants to share her jewelry collection with Kim.”
But it seems that there is some trouble in paradise. The source says Yeezy’s friends do not condone his lavish ways.
“His friends think it’s a terrible idea and are advising him not to give Kim the ring,” the source says. “Because it’s a gift, it would be difficult for Kanye to ask for it back if they ever split up.” The source added that friends say the ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star earns her money through endorsements and reality television, an image they feel Donda should not be associated with.
The source revealed that the “Way Too Cold” emcee plans to get down on one knee once Kim’s divorce with ex-husband and basketball star Kris Humphries is finalized.
Sources also say not only has the G.O.O.D. Music leader considered the wedding bling and proposal, West even has two locations in mind.
“Oklahoma is his personal choice because his mother’s grave is there – and he wants her at his wedding in spirit,” the source said. “But he hasn’t ruled out Chicago, which he credits for giving him inspiration for building his glittering career.”

Sherman Hemsley From The ‘The Jeffersons’, Dead At 74

Sherman Hemsley, the actor who made the character George Jefferson famous in “The Jeffersons,” has died, El Paso cops tell TMZ.
Hemsley died at his home in El Paso, Texas.

Hemsley, who was 74, became famous during his appearances on “All in the Family.”  The spin-off, “The Jeffersons” was a monster hit.  He also starred in the TV show, “Amen.”  He was also a professional singer and even released the single in 1989, “Ain’t that A Kick in the Head.”
Hemsley had no wife and no kids.
It’s unclear how he died.

Chris Brown’s Comment Toward Frank Ocean Creates Controversy

When asked by paparazzi for his opinion of fellow hip-hop artist Frank Ocean, Chris Brown replied “Man, no homo,” according to a report.
Earlier this month Ocean, whose critically acclaimed new album Channel Orange is also an unqualified hit, revealed that his first love was a man and since stated that being closeted was like having a “boulder on my chest.” But apparently Brown isn’t sympathetic. According to PRLog, “While leaving Gotha nightclub in Cannes, Chris Brown had some choice words for a paparazzi who asked him about R&B Crooner Frank Ocean. While entering his vehicle Chris was asked about Frank Ocean, to which Brown responded “Man, no homo!”
Last summer Brown denied making homophobic comments at a Las Vegas nightclub. The new report also reveals that Brown and Ocean have had run-ins in the past. The two men previously exchanged heated Twitter messages and Logo blog NewNowNext posted video of Brown sending relatives to chase Ocean’s car in June 2011.

Wedding On Track For Game & His Girlfriend of 7 Years

Game and fiancee, Tiffney Cambridge, have seemingly resolved their differences, as it’s now full steam ahead for the wedding. The wedding plans for the couple have taken something of a rollercoaster journey. Only a matter of days after it was announced that the wedding would be the subject of a brand new reality show, Game took to Twitter to say that the wedding had been cancelled because he was “not man enough.” Now, TMZ are reporting that the marriage is back on, and that Game and Tiffney have ironed out their problems.
The marriage is now scheduled for August, and, in addition, the aforementioned reality show will be going ahead as well. It will apparently follow the couple’s journey as they move towards their wedding day.
Game clarified the reasons behind the call-off in a follow up tweet the next day after the original cancellation.
“Just in case you blogs think I cancelled wedding on some kool shit.. I didn’t.. She did cuz of my web of lies, cheating & lack of presence,” he said.

Norway Bans Snoop Dogg For 2 Years For Marijuana Possession

This time, The Doggfather has been banned from entering Norway because of marijuana possession. The West Coast rap legend’s weed-smoking habits mean that it will be another two years before he can visit Norway again.
TMZ reported the ban, stating that it stems from an incident which occurred last month. Snoop was stopped by customs officials whilst trying to enter Norway in June, in order to perform at the Norwegian Hove festival. The rapper was searched at Kjevic Airport, and was found to be in possession of 8 grams of marijuana. At the time, Snoop was fined 20,000 Norwegian Krone.
According to TMZ, Snoop’s lawyers have stated that the ban has been enforced, following the discovery of the weed, as well as a larger than allowed stack of cash in Snoop’s possession. The rapper apparently has no plans to appeal and, allegedly, can “live with the decision.”
This is not the first time that Snoop’s fondness for marijuana has got him into trouble. In January, he was arrested in Texas when police discovered weed on board his tour bus, and he was sued for blazing up in a Middle Eastern night club in 2009.

J. Prince Sues Drake & Management For Breach of Contract

Jas Prince, founder of Drake & son of music mogul & Rap-A-Lot Records CEO J. Prince, is suing Drake, Cortez Bryant and management team for a breach of contract.
Drake was introduced to Lil Wayne & manager Cortez Bryant by Jas Prince in in 2008, after discovering his music on myspace. During the introduction, a verbal agreement was made with Prince to pay a percentage of profits earned, according to documents filed in the New York State Supreme Court.
In the papers, Prince claims that Bryant verbally agreed to “use their experience, influence, and relationships to persuade Drake into entering an exclusive recording agreement and an exclusive management agreement with the two of them and Bryant, and was to use his influence to compel Lil’ Wayne to sign and promote Drake to and through Lil’ Wayne’s record company YME, once Drake signed the agreements.”
Back in 2010, Drake made it public knowledge that Jas was solely responsible for meeting Lil Wayne while on stage at a concert in Houston, just before giving him keys to a brand new Lamborghini as a token of his appreciation.
In addition to Prince’s relationship with Lil Wayne, his father, J. Prince, also had strong ties with the Cash Money records label. With these ties, an agreement was made that the distributor of Young Money would “consult with them and take the lead on their business dealings with YME and CMR.”
Since the original agreement was made, Bryant signed Drake to an exclusive management contract with Aspire later in 2008. According to Prince, Bryant still pledged to honor the original agreement with Jas which lasts through 2013.
According to the court documents, Prince is looking for all contract negotiations with Drake to cease until he is compensated on their previously agreed terms.
