VP Sambo's Family House Invaded; One Killed

The spate of insecurity in the northern part of the country is assuming a dangerous dimension as sources told us that gunmen men suspected to be Islamist militants attacked the family home of Nigeria's Vice President, Namadi Sambo in the Tudun Wada area of Zaria, Kaduna State.

During the unfortunate attack with took place on Monday afternoon, the gunmen were said to have drove straight to the house and shot the policemen on guard.


We gathered that the two policemen sustained injuries but they survived the attack. However, one persons was said to have lost his life in the attack. A source said he's cobbler in the area. 

The gunmen later fled the scene without any resistance.
